  • How often should my carpet be cleaned?

    In our opinion, carpets should be professionally steam cleaned by a qualified BICs cleaning expert like Eco-Steam Clean every 6-12 months. Regular carpet cleaning can prolong the life of your carpet and save you money in the long term.

  • Can I clean my carpet myself?

  • I have stains on my carpet, is there anything I can do to save myself money before calling Eco-Steam Clean Liverpool Ltd?

    We offer tips & ideas you can do to clean your own carpets  carpet stain removal page but the results won’t be as noticeable as a professional steam cleaning company.

  • What’s the difference between toxic chemicals and bio-degradable products?

    Eco-Steam Clean Liverpool Ltd will always choose the safer, less irritating, and more eco-friendly option when cleaning, we don’t think it’s necessary to use toxic chemicals to clean carpets. You can read our summary of the benefits of eco-friendly cleaning to find out more.

  • Does Eco-Steam Clean Liverpool Ltd use chemicals to clean?

    In most cases, we feel that the best cleaning results are achieved using hot water instead of chemicals. If we do use cleaning products on your carpet, they’ll be bio-degradable and will leave no trace of chemicals in your home.

    If you have pets, children, asthma, or are chemically sensitive, our approach will definitely be better for you.


  • I have pets and children, will they be affected by steam cleaning?

    We hold health and safety in high regard so our eco-friendly cleaning techniques are harmless. We do advise that children and pets stay away from our machines while we’re cleaning, as the pipes can get very  hot.

  • How long will it take to clean my carpets and furniture?

    We can clean an average sized lounge carpet in around 20 minutes and a 3-piece furniture suite in around 45 minutes. These times can vary depending on how deep a clean is needed.

  • How long will it take for my carpets and furniture to dry?

    Carpet drying times depend on many different conditions, including how soiled the carpets were before cleaning, external weather conditions, humidity, and the material of your carpet. If drying times are a concern to you, just mention it to us when you book as we can provide high-powered drying fans to quicken the drying process.

    Rug drying times are similar to shag carpets, around 4-10 hours in cold months and significantly less in warm weather.


  • What furniture do you move?

    In your lounge area we’ll move your sofa and chairs, coffee table, and dining table. In your bedroom, we’ll only move your bedside tables however: anything else should be moved before we visit your home.

  • When can I put my throw over my sofa again?

    Not until the sofa is 100% dry, some padded areas of your sofa can hold moisture for days and it may look and feel dry but it might not be. We recommend waiting 2-3 days to use your throw again.

  • Can I put a rug or any other fabric cover on my newly cleaned carpet?

    No! Not until the carpet is 100% dry which can take up to 2 days.

  • Do my carpets need to be fitted with carpet grippers?

    Yes; Our cleaning system requires that your carpet remains stationary. The grippers also prevent the carpet tightening when it’s cleaned.

  • Does eco-friendly steam cleaning kill dust mites?

    Yes; Our cleaning system kills all dust mites, fleas and lice that might be lurking in your carpet!

  • What if I’m not totally satisfied with the carpet cleaning service?

    Firstly, you need to contact us straight away in order for us to address your problem as soon as possible. We offer you a maximum of 7 days after us cleaning to get in touch, once this time frame has elapsed we won’t be held responsible for any grievance you might have.
